The Party: Made in America

by James Brooks | July 31, 2014 | 0 Comments

Hot dogs, snow cones, swingin' good music, cocktails, American made goods, great people, and a damn good venue. That sounds like our kind of party. Are you a NYC resident or passing through this weekend? If your answer is "yes", make sure to join us this Sunday August 3rd from 4 - 10pm at Hotel Chantelle (92 Ludlow Street) for some good ol' fun at the Made in America party. The Bedford & Broome founders and some lovely staff will be running the "Made in America" pop up shop along with a handful of other great local brands, so come with a bare neck and leave with some dapper accessories.

Our friend and organizer of the event, Aleksey Kernes, has organized many of our events in the past. If you made it to our launch party in April, then you got to witness some of his magic at work. His team of talented gents at Electric Gentleman have put together a great party this time around and will be spinning some electro-swing music on the ones and twos, bringing sweet sweet sounds to your ears.

The Venue

Hotel Chantelle - located at 92 Ludlow Street - has been a staple in the Lower East Side for a couple years now. It's safe to say we've drank our fair share of whiskey at this fine establishment, and now it's high time many of you join us and clink some scotch glasses together. The pop up shop will be located on the patio attached to the top-floor rooftop, so make your way up the steps and out onto the patio to share a drink with us and shop some dapperness.

The Hosts

What's a good party without a good set of hosts? This time around we have a star-studded cast ready to welcome you with open arms to the party: Damien Basile, Anoop Kansupada, and the team from Madeclose. Damien, is a fashion designer with a bright personality and is in the process of developing his next line. Anoop, the man behind the menswear blog "Dapprly" and has been making quite the name for himself in the menswear world. Madeclose is an online-curator of American-made products, and they make shopping locally as fun and easy as it should be. Make sure to take the time to chat with this fine lineup of hosts while you're at the party.

The Brands

One of the attractions of the party will be the pop-up shop. Alongside Bedford & Broome will be a great selection of other local brands: Calm Clothing, Mi Mesita, Natalie Frigo, Tracy Watts, and T. Walker. Come ready to browse, shop, and learn about these fine local brands.
