Wear It Like You Stole It: Metropolitan Necktie and Charlton Pocket Square

by James Brooks | July 07, 2014 | 0 Comments

It's not rocket science. Take this week's edition of "Wear It Like You Stole It" for example. The elements of the outfit are all pretty basic, but they work together well with nothing being too flashy or overbearing. Most of what you're looking at here are solid colors, a solid shirt, a solid necktie. Notice a subtle windowpane pattern on the jacket? Keep it subtle to show that you have an eye for detail without the need to be flashy. Now that the basic outfit is together, throw in a couple pops of color. In this case we have the pocket square, lapel pin, and socks. You know how to have some fun, now make sure to let everyone else know that you're a modern renaissance man who knows when to buckle down to business and when to have some fun. Throw in a fun pocket square or some bright socks and don't take yourself too seriously. After all, what's the point in doing something if you can't have a little fun?

Look like a boss 101: Leg up, arm out, Ray Bans, smirk. Repeat.
